Empowering Ghanaian MSMEs: Baabuh Hub's Digital Skills Training Webinar for Business Growth

On 15th December 2022, Baabuh Hub organised a webinar focused on digital skills training for MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Ghana. The webinar aimed to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary digital skills required to effectively operate in the modern business environment. With the COVID-19 pandemic accelerating the adoption of digital technology, it has become more critical than ever for MSMEs to be able to leverage digital tools to remain competitive and sustainable. The webinar was well-attended by entrepreneurs from various sectors of the Ghanaian economy, including agriculture, manufacturing, services, and technology. It featured a distinguished speaker who shared insights and practical tips on how MSMEs can leverage digital tools to grow their businesses. Mr. Josiah Eyison, a Business and Policy Consultancy expert, and CEO of iSpace, as the guest speaker, spoke on the importance of having a strong online presence. He emphasized the need for MSMEs to have a website and social media accounts that are regularly updated with relevant content. He also discussed the basics of search engine optimization (SEO) and how it can help MSMEs rank higher in search engine results, thus increasing their visibility to potential customers. Mr. Josiah also focused on the use of digital tools for business management. He highlighted the importance of using cloud-based tools for data storage, collaboration, and project management. He also demonstrated how to use customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage customer interactions and automate sales processes.
As a business consultant in the tech space, Mr. Josiah spoke on the topic of online sales. He discussed the different e-commerce platforms available to MSMEs and highlighted their strengths and weaknesses. He also shared tips on how to optimize product listings and how to use online advertising to drive traffic and sales.
After the presentation, there was a lively Q&A session where the attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts. The speaker provided insightful answers, and the attendees were able to learn more about how to apply the knowledge gained to their businesses.
